Invasion of privacy

In the age of digital photography and social media, we constantly have access to peak into anyone’s life through the images they share online. Things that were once enjoyed in the comfort of isolation are now faced with the option to be displayed in an online diary of images and short captions. The ease for private moments, beliefs and opinions to be uploaded, combined with the desire to overshare our daily lives takes your personal life and turns it into a public viewing for any stranger (their intentions unbeknownst to you) to stumble across and take part in.
“Invasion of Privacy” aims to explore the divide between the private and the public by physically constructing the window for any prying eye to look through and see into the subject’s private moments. The viewer makes the conscious decision to open the curtain and invade the privacy that was once hidden.
